I am thrilled to share with you the story behind our Prickly Pear Hair Line. Like many of you, I struggled to find hair care products that truly delivered on their promises. Feeling unsatisfied with the options on the market, I decided to take matters into my own hands and create something special. The result is Carib Hair – a labour of love.
I was inspired by my late beloved grandmother, who told stories of the secrets of prickly pear or as she would call it “pear bush”. She raved about how it made everyone’s hair thick, long, and healthy when she was growing up in Turks and Caicos. An island where many species of the cacti family were bountiful – so bountiful that the Turks Head Cactus was chosen as the country’s national plant. It serves as a symbol of resilience and adaptability because of its capacity to thrive in harsh conditions.
Sadly, the traditional use of prickly pear dwindled away in the ushering of the new era of mainstream beauty, which shifted the ideologies of ethnic hair care. To revive my ancestral legacy, I have conscientiously chosen prickly pear as the key ingredient for this hair line and meticulously selected botanical extracts that doesn’t only prioritise natural nourishment and effective results, but also aligns with my rich Caribbean roots.
At Carib Hair our mission is clear: to restore hair health, promote growth, and sustain retention. Your hair deserves the best, so we take pride ensuring that our formulation is free from harsh ingredients. Each bottle of our products is a testament to the passion, care, and dedication that was committed to creating Carib Hair.
Welcome to our community! Together we embrace the magic of prickly pear and rediscover the true potential of our hair – where tradition thrives, and beauty knows no boundaries.
